Doing Everything Humanly Possible for homeless Pets

MCPAW (Montgomery County Partners for Animal Well-Being) is the non-profit partner of the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. We work through the Shelter to keep homeless pets healthy and happy while awaiting adoption.

Our goals are:

  • Reduce the number of animals that come to the Shelter
  • Pamper, protect and provide for animals inside the Shelter
  • Engage the community in causes for animal welfare

Our work depends on your donations. Here are some of our programs in need of your support:

Happier Pets

Our Animal Wellbeing Program provides food, attention, activities and medical care to animals in the Shelter and throughout Montgomery County.

Taking Action

Our Community Action Program takes part in community events to educate and engage the public in animal advocacy.

Promoting Adoption

We actively promote and facilitate adoption of animals in the Shelter, especially those that are often overlooked.

Reducing Homeless and Lost Animals

We have developed a variety of field programs designed to reduce the number of homeless animals.
